A new chapter of Christian education
Nov 2, 2018
The South Texas School of Christian Studies began a new chapter of Christian education at our annual Hand and Dove Scholarship Banquet last night. It is with great excitement we announced our new name, Stark College and Seminary. Doris and Bill Stark were passionate about educating pastors and making sure everyone had access to a Christian education. Their dedication and generosity to our college both in life and in death is a blessing, and it is the honor of Stark College and Seminary to now bear their name.
Moving forward, Stark College and Seminary is making a commitment to honor the Stark legacy of affordable and high quality Christian education. While the name has changed, our mission remains the same. Stark College and Seminary will continue to equip educationally underserved followers of Christ for service in the church and community. This year, our college experienced its highest number of enrolled students and received full accreditation. Stark College and Seminary now offers its own undergraduate program, and I am thrilled about all God has in store for the future. I am confident God will continue to provide for pastors and leaders in Corpus Christi, McAllen, and Victoria to deepen their understanding of Him. I look forward to seeing more students lead their churches with an increased level of grace and love.
